  1. Where can I park my motor home?
    Motor homes are not allowed on the site or in its parking lots. We suggest visiting www.campingquebec.com to find out where you can park your RV in the Montréal area.

  2. What’s the best way to get information about activities on the Quays, in Old Montréal and elsewhere in Montréal?
    Our website has the most up-to-date information about activities everywhere on the Quays at every time of year. Schedules and prices are listed, and everything is just a few clicks away.

  3. What’s the difference between the Quays of the Old Port and Old Montréal?
    The Quays of the Old Port and Old Montréal are neighbours, and both are located within Montréal’s historic district.
    • The Quays of the Old Port occupy a 47.3-hectare (117-acre) territory with 2.7 kilometres of St. Lawrence River waterfront. The site is the former location of the Port of Montreal, where intensive port and commercial activity in the 19th and 20th centuries led to the emergence of a major international city. After the port was moved to the east in 1960, the Old Port was redeveloped as a hub for tourism and recreation.

      Today, the site is multifunctional. It’s an urban park and the site of a variety of commercial and cultural events. The Montréal Science Centre and IMAX®TELUS Theatre are also located in the Old Port.

    • Old Montréal was made a designated historic district in 1963. It is the site of the first French settlement in what would become Montréal. It is also the place where the city took shape as successive waves of immigrants arrived and the commercial activities that sustained the city grew.

  4. Can buskers and other street entertainers perform on the Quays? Is distributing leaflets allowed?
    Street musicians (buskers) are not allowed to play on Quays property. Other entertainers are welcome to attend the auditions held every year in April. Those who are selected can then obtain a permit from the Old Port of Montréal Corporation allowing them to perform on the Quays that summer.
